Lady Gaga opened up her breakup with former fiancé Taylor Kinney in an interview with Howard Stern. In the exchange, the "Perfect Illusion" revealed the reason for the breakup and how her latest album was inspired by the breakup.
The Grammy Award-winning singer revealed that she and Kinney are still very close. "I hate to sound like a hippie but I kind of am one and so is he. We love each other, that's it," the 30-year-old singer tells Stern. When asked about the reason for the split, she cites "life changes" as the main reason for it, MSN reported.
"I'm actually very close to Taylor. He's been my lover and my friend for a really long time," Gaga adds. She also says she's "not going to f---ing throw a part" if Kinney begins dating again.
Lady Gaga just recently released her new album, titled "Joanne." The album is currently number one on the charts. According to the singer, a lot of the album was inspired by her and Kinney's relationship. She also describes Kinnney as being supportive of her creative transformations over the course of her career.
According to The Daily Mail, there are reports claiming that the exes are "talking every day about giving it a second chance." The reports say Gaga's trust issues became a central conflict in their relationship, and that she is aware of it and willing to work on it to make love work the second time around.
However, contrary reports also suggest that Kinney has moved on with his new girlfriend Alanna DiGiovanni.
An insider say that the "Chicago Fire" actor is quietly dating 26-year-old DiGiovanni who's from South Philadelphia. News.com.au writes that DiGiovanni is a radiologist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. The couple were spotted at Austin, Texas together where they attended the Formula One race and a Taylor Swift concert.
"Alanna is head over heels," a source claims. "He's told her he's planning to visit her in Philly; maybe as soon as this weekend."
Lady Gaga and Kinney first got together in 2011, after meeting on the set of her "You and I" music video. He proposed to the singer in February this year.
