Deportivo La Coruna is currently on a two-game losing skid as they had also won only once in their last six outings to drop to the bottom three relegation zone.

Their most recent match was a 1-4 thrashing in the hands of middling team Celta Vigo at the Balaídos Stadium on Oct. 23, as per BBC Sport.

Os Célticos captain Hugo Mallo opened the scoring in the 32nd minute before Deportivo defender Raul Albentosa was able to level the count five minutes later to reach the halftime break tied at 1-1.

However, the hosts scored three more goals in the second half to crush head coach Gaizka Garitano's side. Spanish striker Iago Aspas netted a brace in the 60th and 83rd minutes while Chilean forward Fabian Orellana completed the team's four-goal haul with a header in the 78th.

Meanwhile, Valencia has gotten out of the bottom three area after earning three wins in their last five matches, settling at the 16th place in the overall standings at the moment.

In their last game, Los Che lost a controversial 2-3 decision to the defending champions Barcelona at their home field of Mestalla Stadium on Oct. 22, Fox Sports reported.

Lionel Messi netted the opening goal in the 22nd minute of the match to give the visitors a one-point lead at the half.

Two goals from head coach Cesare Prandelli's squad, courtesy of forwards Munir El Haddadi and Rodrigo in the 52nd and 56th minute, gave the lead to the hosts before Luis Suárez tied the count in the 62nd.

Both sides remained scoreless until injury time when a penalty was called on Valencia after Suárez was tripped in the area. Messi converted the ensuing penalty kick, but as the team celebrated, Suárez and Neymar both went down after their heads were hit by objects being thrown from the stands.
