In an exclusive report, Latino Review claims that Drew Goddard, the director of (now cancelled) "The Sinister Six," will now write and helm the "Spectacular Spider-Man" movie. The website further claims that there will be "now new origin story." However, a new actor will portray Peter Parker "based in High School" who will eventually "grow up" into the superhero with spider webs. Under Sony-Marvel partnership, three-part series will see the release of sequels over "consecutive summers."

It is said that the major portion of the first "Spectacular Spider-Man" will focus on Spider-Man's battle with Iron Man and his tests to gain entry into the team of Avengers. The film will also deal with the assembling of "The Sinister Six." At the same time, the movie will skip the origin story and Peter Parker's transformation into Spider-Man.

According to Deadline, the deal between the studio and Drew Goddard isn't yet settled and is in nascent stage. The director has a meeting fixed as he remains the top candidate for the role of the director of the highly anticipated movie.

Meanwhile, rumours surfaced on Reddit from a user claiming "The Maze Runner" and "Teen Wolf" actor Dylan O'Brien has signed in as the new Spider-Man. However, the information lacks official confirmation from the associated people. LR claims that "casting will not begin for a number of months."
