Apple Inc. fans are very enthusiastic about the upcoming iOS 10.2 software update. Based on the beta testing of the OS, the said software will bring new emojis, visual additions and other exciting features to Apple devices.

According to International Business Times, the iOS 10.2 will bring Unicode 9 emoji which includes clown face, drooling face, selfie, fox face, owl, shark, butterfly, avocado, pancakes, croissant, and many more. As a whole, the software update will be adding more than 100 emojis. It also contains the ones representing both males and female images of several professions. Also, a lot of the current emojis will be restructured in iOS 10.2.

Aside from the new emojis, Tech Times stated on its article that the upcoming iOS will incorporate visual additions to the devices. It was said that the iOS 10.2 beta arrived featuring three new wallpapers and a new "celebrate" screen effect that can be added to an iMessage.

The new features don't stop there as the Camera app for iPhones and iPads will also be obtaining Preserve Settings Option. This will retain the Camera Mode, Photo Filter or Live Photo settings that are chosen by the user from the last time that the app was used. This new ability can be turned on under Photos & Camera in the Settings menu.

Moreover, the first beta of iOS 10.2 adds a new widget for the Videos app that owners of iOS devices can take in the list that can be opened by swiping right on the Home screen. The Videos widget will display TV shows and movies that are saved in the app and the content may be played with a single tap.

The iOS 10.2 will also bring new organization options for Apple Music playlists wherein the playlists is now able to be sorted by title, type and date added. Users will also be capable to sort tracks and albums by artist or title.

Lastly, a the upcoming OS will also let the users to have their emergency contact notified whenever they use the Emergency SOS feature on their iPhone or Apple Watch. A pop-up notification to activate the feature will appear upon the initiation of Health app after upgrading to iOS 10.2.

As for the release, Apple Inc. hasn't uttered any word as of the moment, but many believed that the launch of this OS will be announced on a media event that is yet to be scheduled.
