"Supergirl" Season 2, episode 7 will see Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) facing off with Cyborg Superman.

In "The Darkest Place," Kara aka Supergirl will go on a solo mission to rescue Mon-El (Chris Wood) who will be captured by the CADMUS organization.

Meanwhile, in the DC lore, Cyborg Superman is known to be Superman's villainous counterpart. He has a robotic body that was developed using Kryptonian technology and genetics. In the comic books, the original Cyborg Superman also happens to be Hank Henshaw. However, in the TV series, Hank was revealed to be a Martian Manhunter.

In another world, Cyborg Superman is known to be Kara's biological father Zor-El. However, in the series, Zor-El has already died so he cannot be Kara's dad. The publication is speculating on the possibility of Kara's adoptive father Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain) to become Cyborg Superman.

As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Dean will still be part of "Supergirl" Season 2. In June, he told Access Hollywood that he could be flying in an out of Vancouver to do some interesting stuff. It is known that the cast of "Supergirl" is in Vancouver for their filming.

In other news, the upcoming episode of "Supergirl" will see Mon-El transforming into a Clark Kent-esque character. In "Crossfire," Kara and her peers will try to give Mon-El the opportunity to live a normal life. The photos released by The CW for the episode showed Mon-El wearing plaid shirt and eyeglasses that resembled that of Superman's.

Elsewhere in the episode, "Supergirl" will battle against a gang equipped with advanced alien technology, according to TV Line. Lena will also invite Kara to the L-Corp fundraiser which will not go exactly as planned.

"Supergirl" Season 2 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
