"Game of Thrones" have featured the guest appearances of several stars over its six season run. Viewers saw an eclectic mix of musicians and actors who portrayed cameo roles such as Richard Grant, members of Snow Patrol, Coldplay and more. However, celebrities who were unsuccessful in joining the HBO show have resorted to bribery.

In an interview with Metro, casting director Carla Strange admitted to having received some "gifts" in an effort to convince showrunners to give them an acting slot in the HBO series. A star, whom Strange refused to identify, sent her a customized deck of playing cards. Each card contained a photo of the said celebrity displaying different emotions, according to the director.

Other stars sent chocolates, while another gave her a special Stormtrooper figure that bore a sticker photo of the said celebrity. Emails and bizarre letters were also some of the things that the HBO show's casting team received over the years.

Some famous celebrities would even directly contact "Game of Thrones" producers and other members of the HBO production team just to secure a spot in the series. However, Strange stated that not all cameo requests were approved given the limited number of special roles that can be included in a season.

Meanwhile, production activities are currently ongoing in the show's various filming locations. Latest spoiler news indicate of a meeting between several key characters that will happen in the HBO series' upcoming season.
