"Lucifer" Season 2, episode 7 will still air tonight on FOX despite the upcoming presidential elections.
In "My Little Monkey," Chloe Decker (Lauren German) will go in search for the person responsible for killing her father, LAPD cop John Decker. "Growing up, I was close with my father, and then he was killed. But there was never a legitimate justice for him. Everything was wonky and nothing quite added up. So when this case comes along... I'm on a mission, and it's fighting for someone you love. It's the first time I've had a case I'm so invested in," German told TV Line.
Meanwhile, the episode will also send German's character to new heights. According to the actress, it almost felt like she was on a different show because she got to explore Chloe's emotions and grief. "The usual hijinks with Lucifer (Tom Ellis) are gone. I had the chance to play entirely new levels of emotions and grief... It's almost an episode on a different show, in a way," she explained.
To add to this, Chloe's new found desire to find her father's killer will also take her relationship with Lucifer to another level. "It kinds of adds a new layer to getting to know each other, him seeing what has hurt Chloe in the past. We both got to see each other in a new light," she concluded.
In other news, "My Little Monkey" will also see Lucifer struggling with his relationship with Dr. Linda Martin (Rachael Harris). In the previous episode, Dr. Linda urged Lucifer to tell her the truth about who he really is. Lucifer decided to show his transformation as the devil to the doctor. However, this shocked Dr. Linda tremendously and will leave damage in their budding friendship.
"Lucifer" Season 2, episode 7 will air tonight at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
