General Mobile has announced the world's first Android One Nougat smartphone that is named as GM 5. It will go on sale from this month and is expected to be available 20 countries.

The GM 5 Android One smartphone is a slim phone that measures 140.5 x 69.75 x 9.3 mm and weighs only 160 grams. It has an aesthetic design and will be available in three color options like Gold, Space Gray and Black.
It has a 5-inch HD IPS screen that offers a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 294 ppi. The screen is flanked with Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
On General Mobile's official website, it is mentioned that the GM5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 64-bit high performance processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. However, one of the YouTuber who has unboxed the GM5 smartphone has revealed that the device features Snapdragon 410 chipset.
It has 2 GB RAM with inbuilt storage capacity of 16 GB. Its storage can be further extended to up to 64 GB through microSD card slot.
The GM 5 Android One runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Apart from Google Pixel, there are only few phones that come loaded with Nougat OS and GM5 is one of them.
It has 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing selfie camera that supports full HD recording.
It includes a 2,500 mAh removable battery to keeps the lights on. It will available in two variants of SIM support, one with single SIM and other with dual SIM support.
It will be available only in 20 cities worldwide such as Ghana, Georgia, Belgium, Albania, Netherlands, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, Luxembourg, Moldova, Croatia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kenya, Greece, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Bosnia, Cyprus and Iraq. GSM Arena reported.
General Mobile GM 5 Price
As of this writing, the price of General Mobile GM 5 smartphone it not yet announced officially. The GM 5 seems to be a stripped down edition of GM 5 Plus that was announced with better specs earlier this year. It came with a pricing of $300.
The specs of the GM 5 phone indicate that it is an entry level device. Moreover, since it is an Android One device, it is expected to arrive with an affordable price tag. It is pegged to cost around $150 to $250. An image of GM 5 on official Twitter account carries a Turkish Lira pricing of 699 which equates to $219 as per current exchange rates.
