Chinese hacking team Pangu is said to be the only credible source of an iOS 10 jailbreak release and the group is reported to be just waiting for the right timing and will unleash its new jailbreaking tool. Now with Apple already on public beta number two of iOS 10.2, will Team Pangu finally hit the release button for its next jailbreak?

For registered iOS developers, beta two of version 10.2 is now live, meaning it is readily available over the air. "Beta testers who have signed up for Apple's beta testing program will receive the iOS 10.2 beta update over-the-air after installing the proper certificate on their iOS device," MacRumors reported.

The OS bump, according to the same report, is a major update thought it seems to highlight superficial changes. There will be fresh emoji of all sort, at least a couple of wallpapers for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus users and other not too notable cosmetic tweaks.

But not detailed in the same report are the expected security fixes, which what matter to the jailbreak community. To be sure, Pangu and the other devs are now digging on this latest iOS build to check if the software openings that they have been working on were again closed down by Apple. If the answer is yes then the wait will again stretch for millions of jailbreak fans.

Now if the exploits remain as they were in version 10.1.1 then the countdown begins for the next jailbreak release. In recent days, iOS hacker Luca Todesco demoed anew that the Apple mobile OS can be cracker open despite the growing suggestions that devs have been locked out by the tech giant from the mobile platform. As proof that the iOS 10.1.1 can be jailbroken, Todesco shared an image that showed an iPhone running on the modified iOS.

And he even updated the work and declared the jailbreak also applies on version 10.1. But unsurprisingly, Todesco stopped short of making his jailbreak work public thus again prompting jailbreak fans to count on other devs to finish what Todesco has started.

The next jailbreak provider could be iH8sn0w or TaiG but both have been silent lately. And the same was observed with Team Pangu, which in recent months has shown Cydia running on iOS 10 then everything went blank.

The only indicator that Pangu is still working on a possible iOS 10 jailbreak was the recent statement from Saurik or better known as creator of Cydia. The dev said that he has personal knowledge of the Chinese jailbreak team putting together the next unlocking tool for iPhones and iPads. Saurik also gave assurance that the next jailbreak and Cydia will work together and smooth.

But the question remains: When really is the next jailbreak release happening? Will Pangu or any other providers wait until iOS 10.2 becomes official or will the wait last longer than usual?
