New details for "Daredevil" season 3 will feature Bullseye as the next villain and Elektra added to the "Defenders" Netflix series.
It seems the next villain to appear in "Daredevil" season 3 has been teased as series star Charlie Cox expressed his desire to see Bullseye on the Netflix show during the Wizard World Pittsburgh event. Cox thinks that Bullseye will be an interesting character to see "Daredevil" season 3 and co-star Elden Henson even joked that Zach Galifianakis could play the villain, ScreenGeek reported.
Regardless, Bullseye's present in Netflix series has been vocally hinted by the Marvel and comic book fans alike and was previously rumored in season 2 of "Daredevil". The Marvel Netflix series already introduced Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio), Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and the Hand, and it looks like Bullseye's inclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not far off.
In addition, D'Onofrio teased a possible return in "Daredevil" season 3 as he answered several tweets from fans. Although he stated that he does not know if he is part of season 3, he would likely play coy similar as to what he did before during production of season 2.
Currently, the plot for season 3 has not been revealed as Cox is currently busy shooting scenes on the "Defenders" series.
In other news, its seems that another character will joining the "Defenders" as "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" star Elodie Yung will reprise her role as Elektra in the show, Slashfilm reported.
Elektra is the latest addition to the many supporting characters in show along with Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), Stick (Scott Glenn), Foggy Nelson (Henson), Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss), Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), and Misty Knight (Simone Missick).
While Elektra's role in the "Defenders" is still unknown, she was last scene being resurrected by the Hand after their fight and death in the season 2 finale hinting that she could be a villain in the series.
The Defenders will comprise of Daredevil (Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). "Alien" star Sigourney Weaver will be playing the main antagonist in the series.
"Daredevil" season 3 will likely launch sometime in 2018 on Netflix.
