A lot of smartphone makers have been doing a lot of efforts in delivering the Android 7.0 Nougat. As a matter of fact, LG G5 was reported to obtain the update and now OnePlus 3 was said to be receiving the Android 7.0 OS this month.
Technology Personalized had learned that Brian Yoon, the Head of Software for OnePlus has now affirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat will be rolling out to the OnePlus 3 in the form of Android Nougat Community Build. This basically means that users of the OnePlus 3 need to be on the latest Community Build to experience Android 7.1.
If the users of OnePlus 3 are currently on the stable build, they can always do things manually and swap to the Community Build to get a taste of the biggest search engine's latest Android OS.
Additionally, OnePlus already merged its Oxygen and Hydrogen OS to have a combined OS that will result to faster software updates in the future. With this union, it's now easier for the Chinese tech company to release future updates and the Nougat Beta build for OnePlus 3 seems to be a by-product of the same.
On the other hand, India Today reported that OnePlus is also anticipated to release the OnePlus 3T on November 15. Although there are some patrons saying that the upcoming device from the Chinese smartphone maker will come out of the box running on Marshmallow, others are hoping that it will arrive pre-installed with Nougat.
The OnePlus 3T is confirmed to arrive engineered with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 821 processor. The upcoming handset is also expected to have an incremental update over the OnePlus 3 that was unveiled earlier this year. The 3T is expected to have some minor updates in the camera and battery aside from the processor upgrade.
With the confirmation of Android 7.0 Nougat landing on OnePlus 3, it seems that the OTA update is just around the corner. Also, other handsets from OnePlus are predicted to obtain the firmware.
