This gaming console is also expected to be VR-ready when it releases, though VR won't be the main focus of the upcoming console. Phil Spencer stated that VR tech is certainly attractive, but as of the moment this technology is still in its early stages, and it is not yet known whether it will become the next big thing in the gaming industry. The Xbox Scorpio is believed to have 4K support and hardware that will be much more powerful than Sony's console.

Additionally, ValueWalk reported that Windows Central has issued an article which contains information that relates to the idea Microsoft had a couple of years ago. The company wanted to create a single ecosystem that spans PCs, consoles, mobile, and Hololens. This will be called the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), Microsoft has a plan, and at the center of it will supposedly be the Xbox Scorpio.

For reference, the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) is basically a collection of tools that is capable of smooth integration across Windows, the Xbox One, and mobile devices. This only denoted that with very nominal work, developers can use apps and games across multiple devices.

The Xbox Scorpio is expected to hit the market shelves next year during the holiday season. Nevertheless, concrete information is expected to arise as Microsoft spills every detail about its upcoming gaming console.
