Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan cleared the air recently, addressing the WWE return rumors sparked by her daughter, Brooke. The 63-year-old actor/wrestler explained that no talks with the WWE have taken place and that it was all a prank.

Hulk Hogan continues to be on the sidelines following his dismissal from the WWE tied up to a racial issue. He recently won a legal battle with Gawker Media, eventually settling for $31 million tied up to a leaked sex video scandal and nothing close to wrestling has been heard of.

That was until his daughter Brooke revealed something interesting, a return to the WWE. According to her, the WWE and Hogan were talking about a potential WWE return, TMZ reported.

Once word of that spread, speculations on what the “Hulkster” could be doing surfaced. That included potential opponents he could have at Wrestlemania 32 until Hogan himself came out to clear the air.

Hogan refuted the statements of her daughter, baring that it was nothing more than a prank. Technically, it was an April Fool’s joke made in November and Hogan considered it nothing more than starting some good clean fun when he spoke on Eric Bischoff’s podcast.

With the air cleared, there is no WWE return yet for Hulk Hogan which means he is not expected to be around when Wrestlemania 33 kicks off in April 2017. As to whether he would return and when, that is anyone’s guess. But is Hogan worth all the hype?

Bruno Sammartino, the “Living Legend”, recently weighed in on the hype surrounding Hogan. He admits never being a fan of the “Hulkster” and was unimpressed with his work inside the ring.

“He was not a guy that if you had to keep up like in our era, where you had to depend on the arena, for your payday every month, every month, to where you were dependent on going to the same arena month after month, year after year. A lot of people thought he was a great draw, but in reality, he really wasn't,” said Sammartino during a WWE Network’s Legends with JBL.

Hogan last served as a judge for WWE Tough Enough and planned to have a retirement match at Wrestlemania 32. With no ties mended for now, it will be interesting if Hogan will ever get a proper send-off from wrestling.
