A few months before the May 2 mega fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, rapper 50 Cent has bet $1.6 million that Mayweather will secure a victory. In fact, the Grammy-winner has argued that the undefeated Mayweather "can't lose."
50 Cent made the prediction on Tuesday morning, claiming that Mayweather will win the fight easily. He even claimed that it will seem that the fight was highly promoted "for no reason."
The comments are especially interesting as 50 Cent and Mayweather battled it out on social media last year. 50 Cent promised to make a $750,000 donation to a charity if Mayweather could read one page of any Harry Potter book, according to The Independent. .
Mayweather responded by uploading pictures of his last two paychecks. The earnings from the two fights totaled over $70 million.
The rapper's relationship with Mayweather seems to have improved. In any case, he is using his wallet to back up his claims about the super fight.
Early in February 50 Cent believed that the fight would not even occur. He claimed that Mayweather was "scared" of Pacquiao.
Since betting opened after the fight's confirmation, Mayweather has remained the favorite. Sportsbook lists him at -200, and Pacquiao at +165, according to Sports Illustrated.
Mayweather, 36 years old, is 47-0 and has 26 KOs (knockouts). Meanwhile, Pacquiao, 36 years old, is 57-5-2 and has 38 KOs.
Earlier this week Mayweather and Pacquiao started training. Prior to the mega-fight they will meet once on March 11 at a press conference in Los Angeles.
