"Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma" spoilers revealed that Totsuki Academy will have a new headmaster - Nakiri Azami. Who is he?
The Elite Ten Council forced Erina's grandfather Nakiri Senzaemon out being the headmaster of Totsuki Academy and replaced him with Erina's father Nakiri Azami. With six members voted him out. He thinks that the current culinary industry is rotten and is trying to change it whatever means necessary.
In highschool, Azami holds the third seat in Elite Ten, just a place below his senpais - Dojima Gin and Saiba Joichiro. He also resided in Polar Star Dormitory. After Gin graduated and Joichiro left the academy, Azami got hold of the first seat.
He married into the Nakiri family and fathered Erina. An incident involving Joichiro prompted him to be ruthless in training Erina's God's Tongue even using physical force. Once Senzaemon found out about the abuse, he banished his son from the family and Totsuki and tried to repair the damage that has been done to Erina. However, the brutal training has developed Erina's haughty personality and extreme fear to her father.
The second season of the beloved food anime concluded at the end of Stagiaire arc. The first year students of Totsuki academy are back in school. The new arc will explore the next stage of what will happen to aspiring chefs.
It is unknown how many episodes that the Season 3 will have, but it is rumored that the third season will have around 12 episodes that are currently in the works. This is mainly because the anime caught up with the manga. No official air date has been announced yet. "Food Wars: Shokugeki No Souma" Season 3 will air in 2017, but no official air date has been announced yet.
