nePlus 3 will not be seen in the US and European markets as OnePlus has confirmed that will be replaced by its new upgraded variant OnePlus 3T. OnePlus 3T has eight major differences compared to its base model OnePlus 3.
The OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 feature aluminum bodies along with same dimensions of 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.4 mm and weigh 158 grams. Both feature 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED screens that support a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Here is the comparison of both the smartphones to find out the differences:
New Color Variant
OnePlus 3T comes in a new and surprising color option of Gunmetal Grey and its other color option is Soft Gold. On the other hand, OnePlus 3 was launched in Graphite and Soft Gold colors.
Faster Processor
OnePlus 3T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset that is packed with quad-core 2.35 GHz CPU that can deliver 10% higher clocking speed to boost the device performance in loading applications, web browsing, scrolling and so on. OnePlus 3 has Snapdragon 820 chipset under its hood.
New Storage Option
The OnePlus 3T comes in a two variants of internal storage such as 64 GB and 128 GB with 6 GB of RAM whereas OnePlus 3 comes in the native storage capacity of 64 GB with 6 GB of RAM. Both the devices have no option to expand the storage capacity.
OxygenOS Skin with New Features
OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 runs of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box and both devices are scheduled to get upgraded to Nougat OS by end of the year.OnePlus 3T is skinned with improved 3.5.1 version of Oxygen OS interface that allow the users to freely customize quick access controls, better security, custom icons and more.
Enhanced Rear Camera With Sapphire Lens
OnePlus 3T features 16-megapixel rear camera like OnePlus 3 but the rear camera of 3T comes with improved Electronic Image Stabilization as well as Optical Image Stabilization and the lens is covered by Sapphire Glass to protect it from scratches.
Enhanced Selfie Shooter for Better Low Light Photos
OnePlus 3T has 16-megapixel front facing camera whereas OnePlus 3 has 8-megapixel front camera. The selfie shooter of OnePlus 3T can shoot better photos in low-lighting conditions, Phone Arena reported.
Bigger Battery
OnePlus 3T receives the life from its 3,400 mAh battery whereas OnePlus 3 is packed with 3.000 mAh battery. Both the batteries come with fast charging feature called Dash Charge.
Improved Specs Carries Higher Pricing
OnePlus 3 with the native storage of 64 GB comes with price tag of $399 whereas 64 GB OnePlus 3T is priced at $439 and its 128 GB model costs $479, OnePlus 3 reported.
