The company CEO Jen-Hsun Huang advertised the Shield's capabilities, esp. with respect to gaming and with all its diversity it will be advertised as a set-top box, which has being especially designed for gaming enthusiasts. The gaming console aims to enter the homes of consumers with a 5-inch-high, 8-inch wide 23 ounce figure which will fit with other entertainment devices at home.

Nividia's Shield is the a smart TV entity, more like an Android TV and it can be utilized to play HD online videos. It can also play music, run apps and display digital photos. But online gaming is something Nividia takes to another level. According to Eurogamer, the device will enable playing games of 200GBs to be played in under 60 seconds.

Huang boasted that it would have most top titles like  'Batman: Arkham Origins' and the reach increasing with every year. New games will also be introduced later on. The shield will also offer the option to download and play Android enabled games.

The challenge remains as Nvidia faces tough competition from its rivals like Roku, Apple and Microsoft. It would also take many more titles, it seems, to get the device to become popular enough with the gaming community.
