Lowly club Empoli FC (2-7-4, 10 points) is set to host contending squad AC Milan (8-3-2, 26 points) at their home field of Carlo Castellani Stadium on Nov. 26, Saturday as the 2016-2017 Serie A season moves forward.

Empoli is currently at the 17th spot in the Italian top flight table, only three points above the bottom three relegation area currently occupied by Pescara, Palermo, and Crotone. The team had been winless in five of their last six matches which dropped them in the brink of the bottom three.
Gli Azzurri is coming off a highly disappointing 0-4 crushing in the hands of contending team Fiorentina last Sunday also at their home ground, as per Football Italia.
Head coach Giovanni Martusciello admitted after the match that his squad was "outclassed" by the more experienced players of Fiorentina, such as Italian forward Federico Bernardeschi and Slovenian winger Josip Ilicic, who both scored braces during the match.
Bernardeschi hit his two in the 26th and 61st minutes while Ilicic netted in the 47th and 67th.
"Fiorentina have a group of players who are too superior to us," said Martusciello. "We will go again and we will take the first half out of it (as a positive)".
Meanwhile, AC Milan settled to a 2-2 draw with Inter Milan in their derby held at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium also last Sunday, BBC Sport reported.
Milan winger Suso had a brace to lead head coach Vincenzo Montella's side during the match. He opened the scoring in the 42nd minute to give I Rossoneri a 1-0 lead at the break.
Inter midfielder Antonio Candreva then found the equalizer eight minutes after the restart, but Suso scored his second goal of the game in the 58th to reclaim the lead for his squad.
It looked like a Milan had pulled off the win after the full-time whistle was blown, but Croatian winger Ivan Perisic netted a goal in injury time to salvage the draw and a share of a point in the overall standings for the two squads.
