Fans of the long-time running RPG game "Diablo" may have to wait a couple more years for the release of its fourth installment. The predictions were made by game enthusiasts who see that "Diablo 3" may be receiving more updates in the succeeding months as it has been well received by players.

Majority of fans believed that Blizzard will finally announce a sequel to the franchise in the recently concluded BlizCon, given the fact that this year marks the series' 20th anniversary. Although it seemed to be the perfect timing, the entertainment company chose to hold a series of announcements related to "Diablo 3."

With these new updates, "Diablo 3" is getting the same dungeons which were first introduced in 1996. These were recreated by Blizzard and will be included in the updates to come, IGN reported. The publication also took note the inclusion of these elements may be the best throwback if it will be paired with the game's combat mechanics alongside retro-inspired visuals and sound effects.

Given the fact that "Reaper of Souls" has been launched two years ago, the installment has been long overdue for a sequel, but still, Blizzard chose to release another update in 2017. Aside from the dungeons, it has been confirmed that the Necromancer will be brought back to the game.

According to the same report, the fan-favorite protagonist will be designed for "Diablo 3" as to how it exists now, and not how the character looked like a few years ago. Game designers have expressed that they are currently finding the right feel since the character is still being developed as of the moment.

"At the moment we're still focusing on the class itself," Senior Game Designer Matthew Berger explained. "And that means all the skills and the runes that are going to go with them. Because once you've identified all the skills and the runes and the specific types of gameplay that you want, that's when you can break it, expand it, and overpower it with sets that are going to take advantage of this skill or that skill or this combination," he added.

In January 2017, fans are expecting for the release of "The Darkening of Tristam" where Necromancer is included, and the inclusion of 16 levels from the 1996 classic of the original "Diablo" game, Game Planet reported.
