Aquaplus has revealed the story details of "Dungeon Travelers 2-2: The Maiden Who Fell into Darkness and the Book of Beginnings." They have also introduced the characters of the upcoming video game.
According to the official website of the video game, there was once an era where it had gods, human, and an evil deity living deity living together on the earth. At the end of the long battle against evil, a method of suppressing monsters was achieved through the means of the Sealbook. This was invented by the first royal alchemist Siegdrad.
After 500 years, they find out that the Demon God was alive, but he was in an imperfect state and revived. Fried Einhard forms the Royal Library of the Kingdom of Romulea battle party on a journey to seal the Demon God for good.
After clearing out several demons, the party finally met with the Demon God and the battle began. Fried and his party were utterly defeated by the Demon God and so the Kingdom of Romulea fell into darkness.
According to another post on the official website of the video game, several characters were introduced by Aquaplus. First to be introduced was Fried Einhard, the once young librarian of the Royal Library. Now he has lost all the memories of his past and has fallen into darkness after his defeat against the Demon God.
Siena is a magician living in the House of Time and the one who is seeking the library to seal back the Demon God again. She was also the one who located Fried in the library.
Souffle Twinny was a well-known treasure hunter and a former peddler in the kingdom. She was also an enshrined deity that protected the peace of the Therian village. She also joined Fried to battle against the Demon God, but they lost and now she is missing in action.
Yae Houzouji was from a distinguished family and loved hot springs and alcohol. She also joined the party to defeat the Demon God, but she also goes missing.
Yuni Korgtech was a troubadour girl who worked at the town pub and was close friends with Mefmera. She is one of the members of the party who tried to defeat the Demon God. She is also missing right now.
Alisia Heart was a graduate from the Royal Military Academy's knight and close friends with Fried and Melvy from her student days. She is currently missing in action after their defeat against the Demon God.
Conette St. Honore was a former maid of the Royal Maid Squadron and joined the subjugation party to eat all the sweets she wanted. She is now missing after they got defeated by the Demon God.
The last one to get introduced was Fiora Marsh, A devout sister who ran the Marsh Church. She decided to join the subjugation party after Fried saved her from monsters. She also goes missing after their loss against the Demon God.
