Trainers can also expect the Legendary types to finally appear several months after the game was launched. The new "Pokémon GO" December update will reportedly introduce a set of second generation Pokémon which may include Bellosom, Slowking, Steelix, Porygon2, Cyndaquil, Wobbuffet and more.

Niantic CEO Mike Quigley told MCV UK that their development team is already working out plans for special events an expansions for "Pokémon GO." Unfortunately, there has been no solid details given by Quigley regarding what expansions are planned for the popular mobile video game.

The new "Pokémon GO" December update is also expected to introduce trading and battling between players. Both are a core mechanic of the console Pokémon games and trainers have been waiting for them since launch.

Niantic could be planning to launch the update in December to revive the falling interest for "Pokémon GO" for the holiday season, Venture Beat reported. Web scanner PokeVS has analyzed the game's code and there seems to be a setup for ne incoming Pokémon.

Trainers may finally be able to see Mewtwo who appeared in the original trailer for the game released in 2015. Mew will also reportedly join the roster of Pokémon in Niantic's game.

Since the original Pokémon games only had one of each Legendary type, it still remains to be seen how many Mewtwos or Mews will actually appear to be catchable in the game. Both could also appear in just a special event considering their rarity.

Other Legendary Pokémon that may or may not appear in game include Ho oh, Celebi and Lugia. They could also be locked to a certain region to increase the difficulty of the game.

Trainers will have to wait for Niantic's announcement regarding the December update for "Pokémon GO." The game has become stale in the past few months and the introduction of Gen 2 pocket monsters may revive the interest of players once again.
