Anne with her beloved son and fellow author Christopher Rice are currently developing a pilot script for "The Vampire Chronicles" TV series. The said script will have a detailed outline for an open-ended series faithfully presenting Lestat's story as it is told in the books. It will be complete with many situations that readers expect to see, as Anne hinted.

Anne knows exactly what she is looking for in the ideal actor that will bring Lestat de Lioncourt to life in "The Vampire Chronicles" TV series she is working on with Christopher, as Comic Book reported. She wants the actor to look like the character who is six feet tall with blonde hair and blue eyes since he is known for those particular traits.

"The Vampire Chronicles" book series currently consists of 11 entries. Its 12th entry "Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis" is released on Nov. 29. Two of these books have previously been adapted for film.

To recall, Tom Cruise played Lestat on the big screen in 1994's "Interview with the Vampire" alongside Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst, as well as Stuart Townsend in 2002's "The Queen of the Damned" as the main character opposite Aaliyah as Queen Akasha.

"Interview with the Vampire" was directed by "The Crying Game" Academy Award-winner Neil Jordan, written by Anne, and produced by "Little Shop of Horrors" David Geffen. It was released in November 1994, earning $223.7 million at the worldwide box office and two Academy Award nominations, namely, Best Art Direction and Best Original Score.

"The Vampire Chronicles" TV series will reportedly be executive produced by both Anne and Christopher as well. It will likely start with the second novel "The Vampire Lestat" in the book series after "Interview with the Vampire."
