Fresh information suggest that Android 7.0 Nougat update will be coming to soon to Samsung Galaxy A (2016) series smartphones.

Samsung is rumored to be working on Nougat update for its Galaxy A series from 2016 such as Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A8, Galaxy A9 and Galaxy A9 Pro, Sam Mobile reported. However, the South Korean company is yet to announce Nougat update for Galaxy A (2016) series smartphones.

Even though rumors are speculating Nougat software for Galaxy A (2016) phones, the company unlikely to begin the roll out before the end of 2016. Moreover, the South Korean company is expected to prioritize Nougat update for 2016 and 2015 flagships than rolling out for Galaxy A series, J series and other Samsung smartphones.

Android 7.0 Nougat Update for Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+

Samsung is currently providing Nougat beta update in the U.S, the U.K, South Korea and China for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones. Recently, Galaxy Note 5 was spotted on GFXBench site running on Nougat OS.

It indicates the Note 5 Nougat update is in the final stages. The update is also expected to bring along Grace UX that was exclusively made available on the Galaxy Note 7 that is no longer available for purchase.

In November, the Galaxy S6 was also spotted with Nougat update on the same benchmarking site, BGR reported. Hence, the South Korean company is expected to soon make the Nougat update for other 2015 Galaxy flagships such as Galaxy S6 Edge and Edge+ early 2017.

Android 7.0 Nougat update rollout for Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9, A9 Pro

As far as Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy A (2016) smartphones, it is likely that the roll out may start at end of the first quarter of 2017. However, the roll out may be a slow process that may take few more months to get all Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 and A9 Pro smartphones.

Other rumors indicate that the 2017 edition of Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 are under the wraps. Some of the upcoming 2017 Galaxy A series smartphones are expected to arrive with Nougat OS preinstalled. Also, those 2017 Galaxy A series smartphones that will come with Marshmallow OS onboard are also expected to get the Nougat update soon.
