New details for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature Captain America and Morrigan in an extended gameplay trailer and a list of possible Marvel and Capcom characters for the sequel.

Capcom officially announced the latest sequel to the "Marvel vs. Capcom" saga as the fourth installment titled "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" has been revealed during the PlayStation Experience event last week, Gamerant reported. The cinematic trailer will feature both Ryu and Mega Man X against Iron Man and Captain Marvel as both sides use Infinite Stones in battle with Ryu using the Power Stone and Captain Marvel using the Time Stone.

After the announcement of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" in the PSX 2016 event, Capcom surprised gaming fans yet againsas they streamed the sequel's first gameplay trailer during the Capcom Cup. As seen on the trailer, the format of the sequel has now returned to its previous two-on-two format rather than the three-on-three team gameplay from "MvC2" and "MvC3".

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" also introduces that "Infinity Stone" system as Ryu unleashes a powerful version of his hadouken using the Power Stone, while Captain Marvel gets him right back with her Time Stone which some how increased his speed or seemingly slows down time within her vicinity.

Players will be able to equip different Infinity Stones before a match, granting themselves different abilities and effects. Unfortunately, Capcom has yet to explain all of the differences between these powers and what the benefits and drawbacks. In addition, an extended gameplay trailer featured returning characters Captain America and Morrigan in the sequel.

Capcom added that "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature a a single-player Arcade, Training, and Mission mode, as well as a cinematic Story Mode that puts players in between both universes as they fight to the top to take on the game’s new villain who is revealed to be at the end of the cinematic trailer.

Gaming fans wanted to see more characters both old and new ones, from Marvel and Capcom in the sequel. A list of possible characters include Black Widow, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Loki, Punisher, Spider-Gwen, Ant-Man, Thanos, Jessica Jones, Deadpool, Ms. Marvel, Jean Grey, Vision and X-23 for Marvel.

As for Capcom, fans want to see Dante, Cammy White, Sakura, Necali, The Smith Syndicate, Viewtiful Joe, Phoenix Wright, Albert Wesker, the original Mega Man, Rashid, R. Mika, Tron Bonne, Frank West, Jin Saotome and Blanka, GameInformer reported.

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
