"Destiny's" Sparrow Racing and Strike Scoring will become a permanent feature soon. Activision also revealed a new trailer of the upcoming update.
According to the official blog of PlayStation, the game publisher announced during the PlayStation Experience 2016 that a new holiday update will be coming to the Rise of Iron expansion and it will be called The Dawning. It will be released on Dec. 13 and it will bring back the Sparrow Racing League event with several themed events and game modes.
According to the official blog of Activision, one of the game modes is called Strike Scoring. This is a mode where players will build up a high score as they fight their way through the strikes. This will ensure players to enjoy the feature by just competing for the best score in the many months to follow.
When the update ends on Jan. 3, the Sparrow Racing and Strike Scoring will not disappear, but they will become permanent features in the video game. Players will be able to enjoy this for all time unless it will pose problems in the video game.
For players who want to play the Sparrow Racing after the Dawning update ends, they can still try it through private match options. They will be able to play with their friends, and they can also set their own racing tourneys if they wanted to. For those who own the Rise of Iron expansion, they can access all of the four courses, but for those who only own The Taken King, they can only access two maps.
The Dawning update will bring in a lot of items for players to decorate with their Guardians. These items will include new gear, Sparrows, Ornaments, Shaders, Emblems, Emotes, consumables and many more. The update also got its new trailer, which showcased everything that they can get when it is implemented soon.
A PlayStation member said that he has been waiting for this update to come. He revealed that he missed the Sparrow Racing League last year and he wants to join this one this time around. Some members wanted more than just the racing, and they wanted a teaser for the upcoming sequel, which is "Destiny 2."
