The next chapter in Capcom's "Resident Evil" game series, dubbed "Resident Evil VII," has been rolling out playable game demos of the forthcoming series since it was announced at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). With that mentioned, the Osaka-based developer just released a number of in-game video clips of the game all revved up to give anticipating fans another round of jump scares.

VG24/7 described the first clip where the helpless protagonist Ethan tries to sneak in further the Baker household as he was spotted by one of the family members that goes by the moniker, Jack. Ethan was then instinctively chased by the shovel-wielding freak until he got cornered and was smacked a couple of times with the said tool. Luckily, the protagonist escaped the assault and the chase resumed. The latter parts of the video showcased Ethan now armed with a pistol that he later on used against his foe. Albeit taking several shots to the head, not to mention being engulfed in flames, Jack still managed to attack the protagonist signaling the end of the clip.

Meanwhile, the next couple of videos were more on traversing the massive rat hole while Ethan will be attacked by one of the Bakers right before the video ends.

Over the weekend at the recently concluded PlayStation Experience (PSX), Capcom also dished out the so-called Midnight demo game, Dual Shockers reported. The game maker even uploaded a video on YouTube showing some of their gutsy employees trying it for a spin using a PlayStation VR. Everything seems to go smoothly at first. However, jump scares and screams ensued when monstrous mutations appeared out of nowhere started whacking them virtually.

Capcom's latest survival horror offering will be out on Jan. 24 in the U.S. and to other regions while Japan will have it a couple of days later.
