Numerous celebrities have offered "Star Trek" actor Leonard Nimoy heartfelt messages following his death the past week.  Chuck Lorre, "The Big Bang Theory" creator gave out his respects through the national television by showing a personalized vanity card at the end of the show's most recent episode. Rather than presenting a wordy treat, Lorre made things meaningful and simple.

"The Big Bang Theory" paid respects through a tweet on their official Twitter account. "Today, we salute the legendary Leonard Nimoy#LiveLongAndProsper," the hit show said.

Nimoy did not have the chance to physically appear on the TV series, but his presence was felt and his voice was heard. In the TV series' Season 5 entitled, "The Transporter Malfunction," the veteran actor has lent his voice to Mr. Spock's action figure that served as Sheldon's conscience.

Nimoy's influences popped up in several other earlier episodes, as well. One episode showed that Sheldon was being presented with a napkin from the Cheesecake Factory bearing the signature of the "The Transformers" actor. In another episode, Sheldon was featured showing off some sort of a restraining order, which Nimoy had filed against him.

Aside from "The Big Bang Theory," numerous other celebrities have paid their respects to the icon. Earlier in the week, the late actor's predecessor as  the phenomenal Mr. Spock in "Star Trek",  Zachary Quinto paid tribute calling him a "father figure," the Time reported.

On Feb. 27, the legendary actor Nimoy died due to COPD complications. His passing away has been felt by the pop culture and experts have expressed that it is to continue for the years to come.
