"The Voice" Season 11 also sent home four singers following a four-person elimination. The top eight artists performed during the semifinal rounds to amaze coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus and win America's votes.

The two who got the lowest votes were automatically sent home. The remaining three competed for the last slot and one of them was chosen through America's Instant Save.

The first to be sent home were Brendan Fletcher of Team Adam and Aaron Gibson of Team Miley. Some expected the former to make it, considering his "True Colors" rendition hit No. 2 on iTunes.

Competing for the final slot, Christian Cuevas of Team Alicia, Josh Gallagher of Team Adam and Ali Caldwell of Team Miley did their numbers. Cuevas picked the classic "I Can't Make You Love Me," Caldwell did "Sledgehammer" and Gallagher had "I Drive Your Truck."

Carson Daly announced the last singer to complete the top four and it was Gallagher. That left Team Miley to have no singer in the finale. Cyrus was game and said she thoroughly enjoyed her stint of being the coach of the competition for the first time.

"This kind of talent, this level, is one in a bazillion and I have two, so I am so honored," E! News quoted Cyrus saying earlier in the episode. "And it's more than I could have ever dreamed of for my first season of The Voice."

The night also witnessed performances from coach Shelton, former Team Pharrell finalist Hannah Huston and One Republic. The live performances of the "The Voice" finale will be aired on Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. while the results will be known on Dec. 14 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
