AMD is already expected to release new video cards in 2017 but that does not stop information from leaking. Now, data miners have found evidence of the new Polaris 12 and Polaris 10 XT2 GPUs.

Several data miners have found evidence in the recent MacOS Sierra system files. There have been listings of the Polaris 10 XT2 and the Polaris 12 GPUs which are expected to be released soon by AMD.

The AMD Radeon RX 490 has been reportedly seen in recent "Ashes of the Singularity" benchmark scores. It is believed that the Polaris 12 string found in the OS files is the same one that was tested.

AMD could also be releasing the highly-anticipated dual-GPU as the Polaris 10 XT2 does look like the part considering the last part of its name, Hexus reported. If that is the case, then the next RX 400 cards could still be powered by Polaris while the Vega 10 videocards in 2017 could have a new naming method by AMD.

While the Radeon RX 480 failed to beat the NVIDIA GTX 1080 or even the GTX 1070, the new cards are expected to be at least on par with the said GPUs. Polaris 12 and Polaris 10 XT2 could make it easier for PC gamers on a budget considering that AMD always has the cheaper video cards that can still perform just as well as their NVIDIA counterparts.

AMD is expected to shed light on their upcoming Polaris or Vega video cards in the upcoming New Horizon event, Digital Trends reported. They could finally reveal what video cards are expected to be released in 2017 such as the Radeon RX 490 or the new RX 500 cards that will hopefully take on the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti.

Since the new strings of code has been found in the MacOS Sierra itself, it could be taken as an evidence that they do insist. The new AMD Polaris and Vega GPUs might be revealed soon and fans will just have to wait.
