Gaming fans went on hyperdrive when the Nintendo Switch was demoed for the first time on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." To top it off, the show host was also able to play "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" on the upcoming device, which was another first.

Nintendo America president Reggie Fils-Aime boasted first the open-world feature of the game.  He said that as long as one can see a land mass on the horizon, gamers can get to it. Players also have the freedom to play the game anyway they like and, as the video clip  shows, Fils-Aime decided to push a rock boulder down the cliff toward the bokoblins enemies instead of meeting them head on.

Then it was Fallon's turn to try out the game and instead of him continuing using the home console setup, the company president decided to pull out the tablet-like portion of the system and handed it out to the host. Fallon was able to continue exactly where they left off in the game but, that time around, the Nintendo Switch was in its portable mode.

Fallon was not the only person "geeking out," as he said during the presentation. Fans were also hyped up with the features of the upcoming gaming device and they took it to the Nintendo Switch's subreddit page in order to dissect every second of the video. First, fans agreed that it only takes a few seconds and several pushes of a button to transition the device from docked to portable mode. The handheld devcie is also lightweight, based on the actions showed by Falllon and Fills-Aime.

Additionally, fans also agreed that "The Legend of Zelda" is stunning on the Nintendo Switch compared how it was on the Wii U. Last but not the least, the video game console uses a standard USB-C port for charging and not a proprietary port, which is favorable. Any USB-C charger will work with the system.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath in the Wild" is speculated to be released by March 2017 together with the Nintendo Switch.
