The video game's protagonist Hinako and the rest of her friends will be fighting against formidable enemies that lurk around the other world. Players will get familiar with the turn-based system where they have to choose commands like Attack, Support, and similar commands in other turned-based games. If the players meet certain requirements during the battle, the three Reflectors will be able to unleash a combo technique against their enemies.

When fighting against Pure Breeds in the real world, the players can only get support from their schoolmates. To get that support, they need to choose from them before the battle. Each of the Reflectors will have four allies set as the support.

The players are warned that Pure Breeds can kill the heroines in one blow, even if they are in their best conditions. This is the reason why they must make use of the cooperative techniques, support allies, and many more other methods to block the enemy's attack.

Hinako will be able to interact with other students in the school and she can do that while attending school. She will have some awkward interactions with them at first, but by helping to resolve their problems, building up their interactions, and getting along well with them, players will be able to receive some benefits.

According to another post on the official website of the video game, there are two new characters introduced by the game company. Sanae Nishida is a diligent and good-nature girl that loves to cook food. She also went to the same middle school as Hinako, she knows about her, and she even worries about her even in high school.

The other new character introduced in "Blue Reflection" is Sarasa Morikawa, who is sociable and naturally gifted ballerina. She has competed against Hinako when they were in middle school. She is a natural born dancer with the natural talent of learning all sorts of dancing, including the ballet.
