Asus is preparing to launch its new smartphone with dual cameras that has recently passed China's TENAA certification. The device with the model no. Z01HDA is the alleged Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom.
The arrival of Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom on the U.S. soil seems imminent as the device has received FCC (Federal Communications Commission) approval. The device is expected to get unleashed through the upcoming CES (Consumer Electronics Show) event in January 2017.
Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom Specifications, Features
The Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom will come with 5.5-inch screen with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset.
The smartphone will come in three variants of RAM such as 2GB, 3GB and 4GB with respective storage options of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The device also provides support for the external storage of 32GB via micro SD card.
The TENAA listing reveals that the device will sport 16-megapixel dual camera on its rear panel. The ZenFone 3 Zoom will feature a 13-megapixel front facing camera. The rear panel also houses a fingerprint scanner along with the Asus logo.
The phone is loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. It is equipped with 4,850 mAh battery. It weighs 170g and is expected to come in color choices of navy black, new craft silver and luxury gold color variants, Times News UK reported.
The volume and the power keys are placed at the right side of the device and the SIM tray on the left side of the phone. The smartphone has a aluminium body.
Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom Release Date and Pricing
The device is expected to release during the CES 2017 event. Asus have already sent media invites for Jan. 4. The pricing of the device is not known yet. Since it features midrange specs, it is expected to arrive with affordable pricing.
Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom to Succeed ZenFone Zoom
The Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom is said to arrive as a successor of ZenFone Zoom that was released in December 2015. It has a 5.5-inch full HD display.and is driven by Intel Atom Z3580 chipset and runs on Android OS, v5.0 Lollipop OS.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. It is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery. BGR reported.
