The upcoming "Big Bang Theory" Season 10 episode 11 is set to introduce a new character to the long-running CBS series. Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Howard (Simon Helberg) will welcome a new member to the family with baby Wolowitz's arrival.
The impending midseason finale of the "Big Bang Theory" Season 10 will mark a momentous moment in Bernadette and Howard's lives. With the birth of their baby daughter in episode 11, viewers can expect to see touching scenes and funny moments that will feature the stressed-out couple and their friends Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Amy (Mayim Bialik), as well as Stuart (Kevin Sussman).
Titled "The Birthday Synchronicity," certain elements of the said episode may not be what viewers would expect from a birth scene. Despite the opportunity to showcase a screaming Bernadette and a panicked Howard, the midseason finale will skip the usual delivery scene.
In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Steve Molaro shared that the CBS show's writing team decided to remove Bernadette's delivery scene from the episode's script. Given the various shows that already depicted the said scenario in several comedic and dramatic ways, "Big Bang Theory" will instead focus on the events leading to the birth of baby Wolowitz.
Molaro also made a similar comment in an interview with Variety where he even revealed interesting and touching scenes in the CBS show's upcoming midseason finale. One of the said scenes involves Howard and his tribute to his deceased mother as he welcomes his newborn daughter.
Meanwhile, the showrunner also commented on how the tone of the show will remain the same despite the arrival of baby Wolowitz. He mentioned that Bernadette and Howard's newborn daughter will provide the CBS show the chance to expand its plot line and feature more stories.
The "Big Bang Theory" Season 10 episode 11 will air on Dec. 15, Thursday on CBS. Watch the episode's trailer below:
