The WWE roster is currently filled with former TNA stars like A.J. Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Eric Young and Austin Aries. Vince McMahon might not be finish signing TNA talents as he is rumored to be interested in Eli Drake.

According to Daily Wrestling News, the WWE wants to bring back Drake despite him still being under a TNA contract. The 34-year-old wrestler previously worked for the WWE back in the mid-2000s and from 2013 to 2014.

Drake worked as a jobber in 2006 when he teamed up with the future Dean Ambrose to take on The Big Show in a Handicap Match. He made another appearance in 2008 when he teamed up with Gene Snitsky in a losing effort against Cryme Tyme.

The Perpetual Motion Machine of Badassery was officially signed by the WWE in 2013. He worked down in NXT but he was released the next year. He worked on the independent scene before signing with TNA Wrestling last year.

In an interview with Pancakes & Powerslams last year, Drake mentioned that he was blacklisted in the WWE. It was because of one guy from Talent Relations that buried him. He added that he was supposed to get signed in 2011.

"I was on the black list there for a while. One of the guys who used to work in Talent Relations - I'll leave him nameless - he got fired around early 2012, apparently not very liked in the back anyway; I guess he was kind of a jerk to a lot of people, for whatever reason, would bury me in the office," Drake said.

Drake has had a fairly successful tenure in TNA wrestling. He is former King of the Mountain champion while also being part of The Rising stable. He also had several opportunities to win the TNA world championship but failed.

It should be noted that Drake also appeared on the reality television series "The Hero" back in 2013. The show was on TNT and it was hosted by The Rock. The WWE reportedly kept an eye on him during the show and they are very impressed with him.

Nevertheless, Drake still has a contract with TNA Wrestling. The WWE cannot sign him unless he becomes a free agent when his TNA deal expires. Check out the video below to see Drake name dummies in TNA.
