After the losing streak, Hertha Berlin has dropped to the fourth spot of the league table as they have a lesser goal difference than current third-place team Hoffenheim. They continue to hold a Champions League qualifying berth for next season, but Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt are both only one point below in the standings.

Hertha was blanked by second-running squad RB Leipzig, 0-2, on the road at the Red Bull Arena last Saturday for their second consecutive loss, as per BBC Sport.

Head coach Pál Dárdai's boys were not able to net a single goal in the entire contest as they also allowed the newly-promoted side to score two goals, courtesy of forward Timo Werner and defender Willi Orban in the 40th and 62nd minutes with the assists coming from Naby Keita and Emil Forsberg respectively.

Meanwhile, Darmstadt is on a downward spiral at the moment, losing their last six games of the season. The team is now in the bottom of the 18-team German top flight table with only eight points to show after 15 rounds of competitions.

Their latest setback was a heartbreaking 0-1 loss to defending champions Bayern Munich at their home ground of Jonathan-Heimes-Stadion am Böllenfalltor last Sunday, Goal reported.

Die Lilien was able to hold the Bavarians to a goalless draw for most of the match until Brazilian midfielder Douglas Costa broke the deadlock in the 71st minute with a left-footer from outside of the box off a pass by teammate Thiago Alcantara.
