Neville was the man WWE forgot in the past several months but he recently made his return to television. He turned heel and he is now part of the cruiserweight division. The latest rumors imply that he will be winning the cruiserweight title very soon.
The Man That Gravity Forgot is one of the most exciting and athletic superstars on the WWE roster. He had amazing matches with Seth Rollins and John Cena last year but injuries derailed his run on the main roster.
The former NXT champion returned at Roadblock: End of the Line where he seemingly congratulated Rich Swann for retaining his title. However, Neville went on to attack Swann and TJ Perkins, who tried to make the save.
As recapped by WWE.com, the 30-year-old superstar completed his heel turn this Monday on Raw when he lashed out at the fans. Swann came out for revenge but Neville attacked him again with some help from The Brian Kendrick.
Perkins came out again to make the save but he ended up getting beat up once again. Neville left the ring as Kendrick picked up the pieces and attacked Perkins. All signs point to these superstars to face each other in the coming weeks.
Neville has set his sights on the cruiserweight champion while Kendrick might end up feuding with Perkins. Expect tag team action from the four men, as well as one-on-one matches like Neville vs. Perkins or Kendrick vs. Swann leading up a possible title match.
According to Cageside Seats, the WWE has big plans for Neville at the cruiserweight division. He completely dominated Swann and Perkins during the attacks which mean he will be booked strongly. One possibility is for Neville to become the new cruiserweight champion next year.
The Newcastle native can make the title seem more important since he has the most star power in the division. Having a dominant champion makes the next one even more of a big deal. The superstar who can defeat the heel Neville could the next great cruiserweight in the WWE.
