To do so, they need to go to Settings> About Phone> Check for Software Update. In case they are prompted to download the latest update then they ought to do so on a stable network connection. Users who do not see any prompt to update their devices need to wait a little while longer.

It is recommended that while downloading the update, the Nexus 9 device should have enough battery power. In case the download process is halted midway due to loss of power or poor network connection then the Nexus 9 device can get bricked also. In such a scenario, the user stands the chance of losing their local data on the device as well.

Aside from T-Mobile, the Android Nougat 7.1.1 update is also expected to roll out to other carriers such as Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and US Cellular. It is expected to release for all the other networks in the coming weeks. Some of the above-mentioned network carriers are testing the update and are about to release the rollout schedule soon.

The global rollout of the Android Nougat 7.1.1 update for all the other Nexus 9 users in other countries is also imminent. Other countries like Canada, Turkey, Russia and Spain are preparing for the rollout.

On the other hand, the Android Nougat 7.0 update is rolling out for the Sony Xperia users.
