The true culprit responsible for attacking Vinsmoke Reiju has been finally revealed. One Piece chapter 850 is indeed an eye-opener as far as the progression of the story in the Totto Land arc is concerned. Apparently, it was a trap for Sanji, Vinsmoke Family and Straw Hat pirates right from the start.

Warning: Spoilers for One Piece Chapter 850: A Ray of Light

Mirror World Puzzle:

Chapter opens with Chopper still searching for Luffy and other guys in Mirror World. Unfortunately, the sheer number of mirror in the place is making things difficult for Chopper to locate the captain of the Strawhat Pirates, who is struggling to free himself to the extent that he's willing to rip off his arm just to escape from the Prisoners Library and save his friend, Sanji.

Pedro vs. Tamago Showdown:

On 3rd floor courtyard, Pedro and Tamago is going toe-to-toe. Asked by Tamago why he dared to return, Pedro's answer was simple. He believes Luffy and the Strawhat pirates will lead the world to a new era. Pedro proceeds in cutting down Tamago.

Evil Pudding:

In his flashback, he remembered that Pudding whispered to him something ominous will happen with Sanji on their Wedding Day.

"I will shoot to kill that idiot, who fell in love with me as I expected, which is why I don't get married. I won't let you keep alive anyway. Good Bye, pitiful rats," Pudding, Chapter 850.

From this point, everything is starting to get a lot clearer, it was a trap right from the start. The marriage to unite Vinsmoke Family and Big Mom Pirates, the lure for the Germa Kingdom to roam around Big Mom Pirates' territory, everything was according to Pudding and Big Mom's plan.

Vinsmoke Massacre Plot:

In front of bleeding Reiju, Pudding revealed that she's planning to massacre the Vinsmoke family during the wedding. Big Mom's pirates have been craving for Vinsmoke's army and technology for quite some time now, so they have to come up with this particular plot.

"Mama wants clone soldiers and Germa science from the beginning. The whole Germa Kingdom lies at anchor on our territory. Thank you all you idiots for being invited to Sanji's political party. We'll kill all Vinsmokes in tommorow's wedding," Pudding to Reiju, Chapter 850.

Ray of Light:

It was as if a thunder strikes Sanji based on his expression after hearing Pudding's revelations. He just couldn't believe it. When asked by one of the guard if he's planning to go out, Sanji replies "I'm gonna go to be healed by a ray of light in this world."
