HTC has started sending media invites for the event that will be held on Jan.12, 2017.after the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017. It is likely to announce its first smartwear during the event.

The invitation reads as HTC has something "for U". Right at the bottom, an HTC logo can be seen turned to 90 degrees and the letter C appears to be U.

HTC has confirmed on the devices that  it will showcase at the launch event. Fresh rumors indicate that the company is likely to announce HTC One X10 smartphone in the month of January.

There are guesses that HTC will not hold the grand event only for just one a midrange smartphone. Several other smartphone companies have come up with smartwatch, but HTC has not released any yet. As mentioned earlier, it is speculated to introduce its first smartwatch alongside the smartphone, PhoneArena reported.

HTC Smartwatch Features

A Weibo account user had shared the images which appear to be of HTC smartwatch in October. The smartwatch in the image showcases a pebble shaped design. The strap of the device is made up of rubber.

HTC smartwatch is pegged to include feature a heart rate counter and a fitness tracker underneath the watch. It has two buttons on one of its sides for easy access to frequently used applications.

The same user also says that it may take time for the HTC to release the smartwatch as the work on the project has been closed for now. Hence, there are speculations that HTC may announce the smartwatch later with same looks and features, GizmoChina reported.

HTC One X10 Specifications & Features

HTC One X10 will be the successor of HTC One X9 that was released in January last year. The device comes with full metal body with curved edges made of glass.

The HTC One X9 features a 5.5-inch Super LCD screen with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Taiwanese company is rumored to retain the same screen size and the resolution for its upcoming device HTC One X10.

The device is powered by 2 GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6795 Helio P10 chipset along with Mali-T860 GPU graphics. It is expected to feature 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.

It may arrive with Android 7.0 Nougat OS It may continue to feature an OIS enabled 13-megapixel rear camera that is available on the predecessor model. The details on selfie camera and battery size is unavailable. It is expected to be available for 2000 Yuan ($288).
