Four-time NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James seems to break every record he could get his hands to after surpassing Moses 'Chairman of the Boards' Malone in the league's all-time scoring list.

James, with just 1:49 into the first quarter of the Cleveland Cavaliers' 114-108 overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks last Tuesday, scored his 27,410th point in his 13-year NBA career to edge whom 'The King' refers to as 'Uncle Mo,' as reported by ESPN.com.

'The King' scored the bucket off an offensive board, a skill Malone is commonly known for, to move in at eighth place in the NBA's all-time scoring list and to be the one of only two active NBA players to do so with Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki residing at sixth place with 29,552 points.

James was just magnificent against the Bucks as he scored a game-high 34 points highlighted by a go ahead trey in overtime to keep Milwaukee at bay. He also had 12 boards, seven assists, a block and a steal to cap off the win. Last Wednesday, the Cavaliers repeated on the Bucks with a 113-102 win as James caught fire for 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Early this year, James has been on tear surpassing legend after legend when he eclipsed all-time great center Hakeem Olajuwon and triple-double machine Oscar Robertson in the NBA scoring list.

James, in the post-game presser, revealed that he and Malone got close before the NBA legend passed away September last year. He shared that he and the three-time NBA MVP shared a meal before his first game in the league and said that Malone was always there for him.

Up next on the list for James is former Cavalier teammate and four-time NBA champion Shaquille O'neal who scored 28,596 points in his 19 years in the NBA with seven different teams, as per ESPN Stats.
