Game developer Pearl Abyss has released the last update for the year for its popular MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) "Black Desert Online." The "Wizard and Witch Awakening" update brings in powerful spells for the game's summoners and casters.
"Witch and Wizard can now commune with the primal power of the elements through their new weapons, the Aad Sphera and Godr Sphera. The mighty combinations of earth-lightning, and fire-water await you," reads the official announcement.
Additionally, the Witch character can take advantage of lightning and earth elementals with the new Keeper Tett and Keeper Gorr, aside from Paralysis, Fissure Wave, Thunder Storm and Yoke of Ordeal skills. The Wizards, on the other hand, can now summon fire and water elementals through their Keeper Marg and Keeper Arne, as well new skills such as the Aqua Jail Explosion, Flame Knot, Bolide of Destruction and the Chilling wave.
The "Black Desert Online Wizard and Witch Awakening" patch note was also made available on the game's official forum. This includes the announcement of two rewards on the Reward Menu for players logging in between Dec. 22 and Jan. 18. Returning players, who have not logged-in for the past 30 days or more, will receive a special gift package. These players will be notified via the in-game mail on Jan. 25, 2017 for further instructions.
Additionally, the studio is also offering a Christmas Discount Sales event from Dec. 21 until Dec. 28, and in-game items are sold for 20 to 40 percent less the original price. Players also now have 10 additional skin tones that can be used when creating new characters, accessible via the Beauty Menu (F4) tab.
The game's interface has also been updated. This reflects on characters entering the Dye Menu where the awakened equipment UI was displayed incorrectly. A logging issue as well as the snow background that was displaying improperly were also fixed. All these are included in the "Wizard and Witch Awakening" update.
"Black Desert Online" is available for Windows PC. The online game was originally released in Korea back in 2014 and only in March this year was it introduced in other regions. The latest update is primarily for the Pearl Abyss's Western servers.
