Despite threats to report to internet authorities the Indonesians who spam the Instagram account of “Descendants of the Sun” actress Song Hye Kyo of the meme “Om telolet om,” the spamming goes on.

Not content with spamming her Wednesday post, the Indonesians again strike and spam the Korean actress’ Christmas greetings. While genuine fans of Song Hye Kyo sent back Yuletide greetings to her, one Indonesian who uses the Instagram name swr.tini even chided thedomecats who complained of the spam.

Swr.tini wrote: “Haha @thedomecats is it your account? Is it your problem? Its @kyo1122 account !!! everyone has opportunity to write what they want. So?”

Besides sending her holiday greetings, some fans of Song Hye Kyo also wished that she and Song Joong-ki would have a real romantic relationship.

The same thing happened to Song Joong-ki’s Instagram account where he shared another “Battleship Island” photo, but the Comments section was peppered with “Om telolet om” posts. These two Hallyu stars and other celebrities spammed by the Indonesians should brace themselves for even more spams in 2017.

It’s because after major mainstream media such as BBC and The Wall Street Journal picked up the story, Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation said on Thursday it would hold a telolet competition in early 2017 to ride on the momentum of the meme and help make public bus travel popular, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Holding a national competition would likely embolden the Indonesians to further spam other celebrities to gain more global attention to their meme which has further grown. As of Thursday, Twitter recorded 1.5 million tweets related to the phrase “Om telolet om.” The previous day, at its peak, the meme drew 1,800 tweets a minute and topped global trending.
