The highly anticipated bizarre title soon to be released by Hideo Kojima after his time with Konami might be no mystery anymore after a 4chan user claiming to be working with Kojima Productions has recently leaked information regarding the release of "Death Stranding."

The leaker under the guise of DelTacomember, posted on the imageboard website what seemed to be confidential information about the current development process of "Death Stranding." According to the first leak, the brand new Kojima title will launch on Q4 2018 near the holidays.

Actors such as "Hannibal" actor Mads Mikkelsen, Kevin Durand, Lindsay Wagner and Idris Elba are planned to star in the game. As the leaker claimed, Kojima has plans to get Ryan Gosling and Benedict Cumberbatch on board, but the latter seems unlikely as Kojima might be having second thoughts about him.

A surprise actor is said to be appearing in the game, but neither of team Del Toro and Kojima Productions themselves know anything about the mysterious actor. Body horror mangaka, Junji Ito, is also slated to join the Death Stranding team; although the leaker said that Kojima has not contacted him yet. It was also said that Kojima relies heavily on source material from television, particularly "Westworld" from HBO.

Story spoilers were also released by the leaker in the first leak. "Death Stranding" will be about a man supposedly named Adam (Norman Reedus,) who wakes up in a world he does not recognize after an accident. The protagonist will have a counterpart named Eve. The plot was said to be a mashup of mind-bending movies like "Time Wanderers," "Shutter Island," "Apple & Adam/Eve" and "Pacific Rim." Players were advised to be perceptive and work together to figure out the whole story of the game.

Following the leak, Kojima dropped another teaser trailer running on PS4 Pro during The Game Awards 2016. The teaser features the CGI version of Del Toro himself carrying a baby in a jar amidst a dystopian world with soldiers, tanks with remains of slimy alien-like limbs. The five-minute also trailer reveals Mikkelsen, who recently told Birth Movies Death that Kojima is a very brilliant man.

A follow-up leak showed a listing what was mentioned from his first leak deemed official after press release and confirmation by Kojima. Also mentioned was another batch of famous celebrities to be added, the theme of "Death Stranding" which tackles philosophy and ethics.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Glixel, Kojima talked about the "Death Stranding" soundtrack courtesy of  Low Roar. In 2014, the video game director heard the Icelandic indie band's music while visiting a record store in Reykjavík, Iceland.

"The meaning of the lyrics and the sound of the track 'I'll Keep Coming' was a perfect fit for the world of the game, " Kojima told the publication. The song was from Low Roar's second album titled "0," which was released in 2014.
