Jeremy Lin was once touted as the next big thing in basketball. While the "Linsanity" hype has died down for a lot of people, Lin still puts in consistent performances game in and game out, and this was evidence in his most recent performance during a 117-101 loss against the star-studded Golden State Warriors.

The Brooklyn Nets and Lin were definitely the underdogs coming into this contest. Especially considering that they were coming up against a team consisting of Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Stephen Curry.

They were able to give the 2015 champions a run for their money. Although the Nets put up a good fight, the New York Post reported that "not even a healthy Jeremy Lin can save Nets from defeat."

Lin's performance was a highlight that night, putting up jaw-dropping numbers in the midst of his return from injury wherein he missed 18 of the Nets' last 19 games. As reported by CBS Sports, in 32 minutes of game time, Lin went 4 for 12 in field attempts including 2 for 7 from threes, resulting in 10 points. He also garnered 11 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks within his just over half an hour of pay time.

Nets coach Kenny Atkinson slowly eased Lin back into his team's rotation, but now it seems that the point guard is completely healthy and has absolutely nothing holding him back. In fact, this is the first time this is the first time Lin played for over half an hour in a collective game time since the end of October.

The 28-year-old is a welcome upgrade to those who played the role of his backups - Isaiah Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie - considering that both of them do not have the type of NBA credentials that he has.

Lin is one of the Brooklyn Nets top offensive options but is just about edged out by center Brook Lopez in this department. With the form he is in, it is not surprising if this he gets a career-best in points, assists, and three-pointers in this season of the NBA.
