In a strange turn of events, popularity of rapper Kanye West saw a new height when one of his fans tried to sell the air from his concert. The auction site ebay is loaded with such sellers these days offering up plastic bags full of air allegedly taken from West's concerts.
Latest reports state that plastic bags full of air taken from Yeezus concerts have been attracting sky-high bids on the auction website. The fad started couple of days back, when one seller from Pennyslvania offered a sell a zip seal bag full of air taken from West's concert.
This is the first time that such a weird offer has been placed publicly on ebay. More interesting is the fact that the unidentified seller did not have convince fans authenticity of his offering, Sydney Morning Herald reported. The seller also added that the air was acquired by simply holding the bag open and sealing in the air. He supplied no evidence or ticket to show which concert he attended to bag the air.
The bag's description on the website also said that it "possibly contains Kanye's breath.The bid saw exceptionally good response with 90 bids within few hours of posting. The starting price was $5, which increased to $60,000 in no time.
The bid was taken down by the site later. However, eBay has since been flooded with similar bids, promising air bagged from a Yeezus show. See the similar listing here.
West's reality TV star wife Kim Kardashian also seemed amused by such a weird offer. "WOW he can sell anything! Lol RT "@Femail: $65,000 for a bag of air from a Kanye West concert," wrote the 34-year-old star.
Similar items currently up for sale on ebay include "Kanye West Concert Air-Infused Bay Leaves" and some air from country singer Garth Brooks' show.
