Beautiful women

Men that want to be more attractive to women will have better luck if they're part of a group.

That means a guy shouldn't go it alone when he wants to meet women but should be in the company of "wingmen," said a new study by Tilburg University in The Netherlands.

The study said women perceive a group of men to be around 10 percent hotter than the average of its members. Also, the larger your posse, the more handsome the individual members become, said the research.

There's even a name for this strange effect. It's called the "Group Attractiveness" (GA) effect.

"It's harder to see and judge everyone in a big group," said study co-author Job van Wolferen, Ph.D., of Tilburg University.

"Therefore, the attractive group members receive even more attention than they do in smaller groups."

Even if you're not the handsomest guy in a group, the GA effect gives every guy in a group a competitive advantage when it comes to catching a woman's eye, said van Wolferen.

Van Wolferen also said the GA effect works whether you're with a group of men, women, or both, according to Men's Health.

A separate study the University of California at San Diego found men were rated as better looking when they were in group photos than in solo shots.

This is a cousin of the GA effect called the "cheerleader effect," according to researchers.

They said men and women appear more attractive in groups because viewing faces together makes them look more like the group average. This illusion can help "even out" a single person's unattractiveness.
