Fresh news coming from Korea reveals that LG plans to announce LG G6 during MWC 2017. The flagship smartphone will be hitting the markets earlier than the LG G5 was made available for purchase this year.

The LG G6 is rumored to go on sale as soon as it gets announced. The company is speculated to be working on manufacturing more units by January. It is preparing to sell more units at its release and continue its sales through the whole year.

It is been heard that Samsung is delaying with the launch of Galaxy S8. The launch for the device is expected to be in April.

If it's true, LG G6 sale will not be affected at the beginning of its release, 9 to 5 Google reported. In fact, by releasing the LG G6 earlier, the company may be aiming to kill the Samsung Galaxy S8 sales. New render of LG G6 has been shared by @ShaiMizrachi. He is the same leakster who has revealed leaked information of LG and Samsung smartphones in the past.

LG G6 Specifications and Features

LG G6 is said to retain the same design that is available on LG G5. The device will include a dual rear camera and will come with fingerprint sensor placed below the camera.

The upcoming device is expected to come with 5.3-inch or 5.5-inch screen with the quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is likely to run on Snapdragon 821 chipset or come with powerful Snapdragon 835 chipset.

The phone will come packed with 6 GB of RAM. The LG G5 comes with modular mods which  allows users to add a replaceable 2,800mAh battery. The LG G6 is likely to include same feature.

According to ShaiMizrachi, the bottom of the device appears to be broad. It hints that the upcoming device is likely to come with continue with modular concept that was introduced with LG G5 or it will come packed with bigger battery.

For those are waiting to see the new flagship phone, there are still guesses whether LG will introduce modular concept with its LG G6 device or not. The consumers who used the LG G5 were not satisfied with device as the phone was costly. Secondly, the modular accessories were required to purchase separately which added to the cost of the phone.

The LG G6 render does not clearly suggest whether it features modular design or the company has decided to axe it. LG fans will have to wait till the company officially announces  its flagship device during MWC event, Android Authority reported.
