"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is currently in production and several set photos have leaked online. The images showcase both Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) and Gilly (Hannah Murray) in the city of Oldtown as well as a new character of unknown origins.

The photos released by Spanish site Hoy also reveal that Little Sam, Gilly's son, is no longer a young infant. This would indicate a lengthy amount of time has passed between the period Sam left the Wall and the current period in Season 7.

Sam and Gilly are also shown attempting to leave Oldtown and it is possible they are heading back North. None of the images show Sam wearing a Maester's chain, hinting he is leaving before officially being labelled a Maester from the Citadel.

In the original "Song of Ice and Fire" books by George R.R. Martin, Sam already studied about the White Walkers' weakness to Valyrian steel and dragonglass. The latter was depicted in the show when Sam stabbed a White Walker with a dragonglass dagger and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) discovered Valyrian steel worked as well when he used his sword to kill a White Walker in Hardhome.

Director Matt Shakman can also be seen in one of the leaked photos. Shakman is stated to be helming Episode 4 and Episode 5, which means the scenes involving Sam and Gilly leaving Oldtown take place in the latter half of Season 7. He also helmed episodes of "The Good Wife," "Fargo" and "Mad Men."

A new character is also shown in the leaked photos. According to Comic Book, the mysterious character's garbs suggest she is from Braavos. HBO has yet to clarify who the actress is and whether she is from Braavos or just another villager from Oldtown.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is scheduled to premiere by Summer 2017. The season will only have eight episodes while the eighth and final season will only have seven. A preview of Season 7 can be viewed below:
