When "Suits" Season 6 returns to the small screens, avid viewers will find Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Louis (Rick Hoffman) dealing with the aftermath of Jessica's (Gina Torres) exit. A familiar face will also visit Louis who may hold the key to Specter Litt's future.
The back half of "Suits" Season 6 will feature a potential partnership between Harvey, Louis and Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce). With Jessica leaving the law firm Pearson Specter Litt to pursue her personal interests in Chicago, Zane may take advantage of the situation to propose a merger.
Zane has been planning to merge his law firm with Pearson Specter Litt and may send one his associates, namely Katrina (Amanda Schull), to discuss the merger with the remaining partners. A photo still exclusively released to TVLine featured Katrina meeting Louis in an office.
Louis former mentee appears to be handing a stack of documents to her ex-boss. However, the Specter Litt partner does not seem happy to see Katrina.
In an interview with the same news site, showrunner Aaron Korsh teased that Katrina's reappearance is connected with Jessica's exit from the law firm. At this time, it is still unclear if the documents that the said character is holding contains the details of the proposed merger.
Meanwhile, Korsh also mentioned that the first few episodes of "Suits" Season 6B will be different from earlier episodes. He even described then as "outliers" given the said episodes' plotlines that are "a little bit more personal in nature."
In other news, images posted on USA Network teased of the tense encounters between Harvey and Louis. One of the pictures showed Harvey having a heated conversation with Louis.
Another photo featured Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) sharing a sweet moment together as they cuddled on a couch. Moreover, it appears that Mike and Harvey will join forces given an on-set image that showed them standing beside each other on the streets of New York.
"Suits" Season 6 will air its midseason premiere on Jan. 25, 2017 on the USA Network. Watch a teaser clip below:
