With various year-end events that recognize the best dramas and acting performances on the small screen, several popular and talented celebrities are set to receive special awards. Some of the South Korean stars who might get an award includes Park Shin Hye, Kim Rae Won, Jun Ji Hyun, Lee Min Ho and more.

The upcoming 2016 SBS Awards Festival (SAF) Drama Awards is one of the prestigious year-end events that acknowledges the acting talent and on-screen accomplishments of the said South Korean network's shows. SBS recently unveiled a list of drama couples, as obtained by Korea Herald, who are competing for the honor of Best Couple Award.

Park and Kim who starred in the medical drama "Doctors" are one of the nominees, including the "Legend of the Blue Sea" drama couple Jun and Lee. Park's "My Annoying Brother" co-star Jo Jung Suk is also included in SBS' list given the said actor's on-screen chemistry with Gong Hyo Jin in "Jealousy Incarnate."

Namgoong Min and Bang Minah from the drama "Beautiful Gong Shim" are also nominated for SBS' Best Couple Award, as well as the "Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim" drama couple Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin. Other nominees include "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" stars Lee Joong Gi and IU, "Our Gap-soon" co-stars Kim So Eun and Song Jae Rim, the "Jackpot" bromance pair Jang Keun Suk and Yeo Jin Goo, and the "womance" couple in "Jealousy Incarnate" Park Ji Young and Lee Mi Sook.

Moreover, to commemorate the on-screen pairings of the said South Korean celebrities, SBS also released a teaser clip that included a montage of the said drama couples' memorable scenes. Meanwhile, avid fans of the said drama couples have until Dec. 30 to cast their votes through the SAF Drama Awards' website.

In other news, Park and Jo's latest movie "My Annoying Brother" attracted more than 2 million moviegoers a week after its release, according to the Korean Film Council's box office figures, as cited by Yonhap News. Around a total of 2,160,000 fans watched the said movie during the first week of December.
